Pintassilgo, Revisited: Marito Marques' Studio Desk Today

In 2014, we built Pintassilgo, Portuguese for “Goldfinch,” for internationally renowned drummer, producer and composer Marito Marques: a studio workstation with two 10U rack bays and a one-piece top that slides into the side racks, with cable management and ventilation worked in from the start. The desk inspired the track “Pintassilgo” on his album Live At Revolution. Read the original build story →

More than a decade later it’s still at the heart of his control room at GMP Recording Studios in Toronto, and Marito is still using it.

Marito has since won a Grammy Award for his contribution as a drummer and percussionist on Immersed by Justin Gray, which won Best Immersive Audio Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in 2026. He is also a Latin Grammy and Juno nominee.
